Thrifted Finds

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. I finally got to do a little road trip to Dallas this weekend to visit my brother and his girlfriend. It was my first time really going out and getting to know the city and although I’ve been raised to hate Dallas because I’m from Houston, it was a lot of fun. There were so many places to see and they have so many vegetarian/vegan restaurant options! It was awesome.

Before going out of town this weekend, I was able to get a little thrifting done. There is this thrift shop I pass everyday and it is called Thrift Land. I’ve gone once before, but I was in a rush so I didn’t get a chance to really see what they had. This time I made sure that I had enough time and I found two really cute pieces that I’ve been looking for.

First, this adorable dress. I’ve been looking for a dress I can layer and this is just so perfect for it. I paid around $4 for this dress. I paired it with a white top I got from Banana Republic and I got the shoes at TJ Maxx.

I just love how the sleeves look with this dress! Also, excuse my bare face and serious expression. I took these pictures by myself and I was super focused, haha.

Second, this denim skirt was only $3. The last denim skirt I bought from Pacsun and paid over $40 for and the zipper broke. I loved that skirt, but it was definitely not worth the money I paid. So, I was excited when I got my hands on this cute denim skirt. I love how it’s tied off on the side and how it’s a darker denim. I also got my top from Nordstrom Rack.

Yes, I do realize I wear a lot of white. I didn’t notice this until I started doing blog post, but I just love the way white looks on me.

So, I paid $7 ish for both these pieces and I already know I’m going to be able to put together so many cute outfits with them. Yay!

I hope y’all enjoyed!

Where Have I Been? And Vintage Find!

Hi everyone!

Wow, it feels so good to be back.

Can you believe it has been almost a year? Yep. I don’t know how I let myself go without posting for so long. I guess I let myself believe my blogging days were over, but I couldn’t get myself to let it go completely. My account was actually set to expire on the 5th of December (today), but I renewed late last night. I had lost inspiration, so I naturally kept putting off posting. Then Greg reminded me how much fun I had creating my blog post and how proud I was every time I finished a post. So, i’m back!

Greg and I went to this adorable flea market that happens every third Sunday of the month at this coffee shop near us. There I ran into this cute little business called Ginger & Judy, a up-cycled vintage clothing shop. They had so many unique pieces and their prices were very reasonable. As I was looking through their collection, I saw the most amazing jacket. It had a vibrant print, felt like good quality, and it was my size!! As soon as I tried it on, I fell in love. It was only $20 and honestly, I feel like it was such a steal.

So, this fashion post is not only going to feature the jacket but other thrifted items. Something you must know about me is that I love thrifting. I’ve been thrifting with my mom and uncle ever since I was a kid. I love going through everything and finding something you can’t find anywhere else.

Everything in the picture is thrifted except the shoes and earrings. I got the shoes a long time ago, years, and the earrings were a gift from mi madre.
